127mm Mk 42

2x1 127mm Type 73 (US Mk 42 Mod 7) dual purpose gun. One on the bow and one aft.

Mark 13 GMLS

A Mark 13 GMLS is located on the bow with a 40 missile magazine located below deck.

RIM-66 Standard SM-1MR

A total of 40 RIM-66B, and later RIM-66E, Standard SM-1MR medium range surface to air missiles are carried in the magazine of the Mk 13 GMLS. An update to SM-2MR missiles was considered but never applied.

RUR-5 ASROC

RUR-5 ASROC launched from a Type 74 (US Mk 112) octuple launcher located in front of the bridge.

RGM-84 Harpoon

2x4 Mk 141 launcher for the RGM-84 Harpoon sea skimming subsonic anti-ship missile. Often only six missiles are carried.

Mk 46

The Mark 46 lightweight torpedo is launched from two 3-tube HOS-301 torpedo tubes located amidships.
